A Person's a person or as I say, People are people.

Well, another month down and 3 more to go before the end of the year. Then we are looking at 2013. Never dawned on me while I was growing up that I would be living in this time, let alone it would be the 2000's before I would age and my life would end during this era. Hoping to see the 2040's, I will be in my 90's during that time frame.

Had a wonderful day. My friends John and Paula Foster came down to pick up some Iris' that I had dug up. John was in my class and we grew up together where Paula came to Lowry at a later time in her life but still went to school in Lowry. She was younger than us and I remember her, just didn't hang with her because she was younger.

It was good to sit and laugh with friends. Heck I got an opportunity to do that not only on Saturday but Sunday afternoon too. I am a blessed person. Plus got to talk to Brandon this morning too. He's still doing good and looks good too. I had their time wrong, I thought he was 13 hours ahead of us, well he's behind us. It is 6:22pm Sunday night here and it is 13 hours behind us. Oh well, I'm still confused. Don't take much.

I have a bunch of friends at the United States Conference on AIDS at the Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas Nevada right now. The National Minority AIDS Council is the group that puts this on each year. Twenty five years ago today a meeting was formed in a trailer park behind Circus Circus because The American Public Health Association had held its first session on AIDS and failed to include any people of color on its panel. Leaders from various minority communities across the country came together to discuss about the challenges this epidemic posed for them.

Magic Johnson and Wendy Williams spoke today. This conference is focused on the National HIV/AIDS Strategy for the United States that President Obama implemented July 2010. If you have an opportunity look it up on line and read it, it is really thought provoking and makes me love our President just a little bit more. He is trying to do some awesome work and he has shown some great advancements with this subject as well.

According to this strategy there are three critical steps that will help reduce HIV infections are:

  • Intensify HIV prevention efforts in communities where HIV is most heavily concentrated.
  • Expand targeted efforts to prevent HIV infection using a combination of effective, evidence-based approaches.
  • Educate all Americans about the threat of HIV and how to prevent it.

Prevention messages are one of the many targets that President Obama wants to us to hit. Faith based communities are an area that needs to be impacted, especially in the Midwest. Churches need to have AIDS Awareness outreaches and need to be trained for education and prevention messages to be delivered. If anyone is interested in information let me know.

Well, I am signing off of here. I am tired and I could ramble for hours about this subject. Love you guys and will talk tomorrow.

GNO was the best!!!

Tonight was great. Girl's Night Out (GNO) with a bunch of my good friends. There were ten of us and we went to a little restaurant outside of town. Good food, good friends, good times. Laughed till we couldn't laugh any more. We meet up every other month but hadn't been together for a while. It will probably be a couple of months before we meet again but like I said, it is great. Our little waitress was great and took really good care of us.

Went out and saw Patty today. She is getting weaker and you can barely understand her when she talks. She still isn't eating enough and going to the bathroom wears her out. So sad to watch.

You know, I was going to work the other day with the radio on and the DJ's were asking if we knew what the number one shoplifted item is. They let several callers guess but no one figured it out. I couldn't believe the answer but it is diabetic strips. I am like, that doesn't surprise me though. Everyone knows that IV drug use is one of the ways HIV can be transmitted along with tattoo's and such. Well, senior citizens can get HIV this same way. You laugh and say, IV Drug use isn't something that is relevant in that population. No, you are right, but they are sharing insulin needles. There has got to be an answer to health care and the price. When you are on a fixed income as these individuals are, there has to be a way that they can afford necessities like this in their medical care.

Like I said before and I am going to mention again. I am not telling this stuff to scare you guys, I am telling you so you will open your eyes and realize that there is a problem out there. HIV IS NOT a gay man's disease anymore. It is a disease that affects us all. It doesn't care about color of skin, age, sex, how much money you make, who you are or who you think you are. There are over 30 STD's out there and anything that starts with an H, there is not a cure for. Please take care of yourselves and educate all around you.

Heading to bed, had a good night and tomorrow will be good too. Talk to you later.

More interesting information

Good day. Spent most of in in Mt. Vernon MO at the Health Department. Lawrence County Health Department is an awesome health department. They do good stuff for the public. Of course when cuts come around they always go toward public health and people don't realize what a wonderful service there local public health departments are.

It's always good being home. When I got home Terry was watering the yard. He had someone come and aerate, seed and fertilize the yard. It will be so good to get it done and hopefully it will make for a beautiful yard. I raked the flower bed and got a bunch of the iris' up. If anyone would like some iris rhizome's let me know. I have a ton load. I think I will put them at the bottom of our yard or maybe around a light pole at the end of the yard. Thinking about putting some garden in on that side the iris was in. Going to work on the other side after I am done with this side. Love working in my yard.

Patty was in pretty good spirits tonight. She was joking with us and had ate an egg a few strips of bacon and drank her milk this morning but basically that is all she ate all day. She had some beautiful flowers in her room. Their cousin had brought her a beautiful spider mum, someone else (a good friend of hers) brought a beautiful bouquet and then she had her little coffee cup flowers her friend did. She is to have three doses of chemo on Monday so that will wipe her out big time. Still needs lots of prayers though.

Got quite a feedback on the post I did last night on HIV stats. HIV is something I feel extremely strong about. Some other facts you may find interesting:

  • Nearly 10 percent of AIDS cases in the U.S. female population are said to be in women older than age 50.
  • In the last decade, AIDS cases in women over 50 were reported to have tripled, while heterosexual transmission rates in this age group may have increased as much as 106 percent.
  • "Older women," according to UNAIDS, "appear to have higher incidence than older men, and during a recent 5-year period, the number of new cases in this group increased by 40 percent."

STD/HIV infections can and do impact mid-life men and women. Fatigue, Weight loss, Dementia, Skin rashes, Swollen lymph nodes. Misdiagnosis is frequent in older people who are, in fact, infected. Keep educated.

Well, going to bed. I am tired tonight. Like I said, it is good to be home. My husband is awesome!

Crazies are out.

Of the estimated 33.4 million people living with HIV, 47 percent are women – nearly 16 million people – and half of all new infections occur among women. Scary but true. Almost one-fourth of all people with HIV/AIDS in this country are age 50 and older. The number of HIV/AIDS cases among older people is growing every year. Why you ask does it hit this population? It is because no one thinks to test this population, the signs and symptoms for HIV/AIDS mimics so many other aches and pains that the older adult has. For instance severe fatigue, dementia, weight loss, night sweats. With the ED drugs that are out there people are becoming infected at older ages. My case load is increasing with 70 year old's being new diagnosis'. People, I don't know how many times I have said this but if you have had unprotected sex at least one time in your entire sexual history you could have been exposed. Get tested.

Miss Chelsea Clinton

Went to Branson today and down south. The leaves are really pretty. Oranges and yellows, any way here they are. Not sure about up home. Will be going there tomorrow. Yeahhhh. When I was in Branson they had their flags half mast. Anyway the part of Branson I was in they did. I didn't go down the strip or the Landing, just the north end of Branson. I found it humorous though. They have been making a big deal about Andy Williams death down here in Springfield and I am like, seriously? What did he ever do that was noteworthy except sing. I am thinking it is a little much and they need to play it down a little bit. I am sure the family is sad and all but lets step back a little bit and think this one through. Oh well.

Well, I think I am going to sign off. Work gets me to thinking and sometimes it's good and sometimes it isn't. Oh well, all I can say is the moon must be getting full because the crazies are coming out. October is even going to more fun with the crazies, I am sure.

Anyway, good night everyone and I will talk to you tomorrow.

Such a sad day to be such a funny day.

Can we say crazy day? Yes we can, because I just did. Sometimes I wonder why I am so dingy but oh well, as I tell Terry, ya gotta love me. I have always been the person that loses their car keys, phone, leaves her purse at the restaurant, forgets how she gets out onto the street from a parking lot and ends up going the opposite direction then I should. I tell them at work, I am direction illiterate and don't know my north from my south or my east from my west. Tell me to turn right or left and I am all over it sometimes, except for the time I am telling someone how to get somewhere and I am sitting in the car with them when they are driving and I point left and tell them to turn right. Yeah, that's me. Miss Ding Dong Bell.

Today didn't prove to be much better. Let me see, where do I start? Work, it was okay, nothing to crazy happened there, just trying to get stuff done from being out of the office for a week. That can always be nuts.

Can't remember if I told you or not but last night my smoke detector was chirping away when I got home because the battery was dead. I unplugged the detector and set it on the counter with the dead battery for the maintenance man to replace today. I got home after 5 and when I opened the front door I could hear a steady staggering beep coming from the bedroom. I threw my keys and purse on the counter, read the note the maintenance man left that he finished his job and went into the bedroom and saw that the smoke detector now was not chirping but making an obnoxious steady sound. I went to the kitchen and could not find my phone in my purse. After dumping it out on the counter I decided to go back out to the car to see if I had forgotten it out there and sure enough, there it was. As I was walking up the steps of the apartment I proceeded to call the apartment office to report that the maintenance man had not done his job as he said he did. I came into the apartment and as I was talking to her I held my phone up close to the alarm so she could hear it. She put me on hold and said she would be right back, I was so ticked because I didn't want to climb back up on a chair to take it down again. Then, all of a sudden I was like, wait a minute. That isn't coming from the smoke detector. I looked across the room and my alarm clock was going off, I had forgotten to shut it off this morning and it came back on at 5pm. She came back on to apologize and I told her that I was the one that was sorry. It was my alarm clock. Thank goodness she had a sense of humor because she laughed and said not a problem.

Then I come into the kitchen to turn on the oven to fix supper and decided to turn on the evening news. I haven't listened to it for a while and knew that Andy Williams had passed away. When I turned the TV on I just had a blue screen that said VIDEO2. No sound, no picture, nothing. I was like CRAP, what now?? After I put supper in the oven and sat down I turned on my computer to make sure I had internet and I did. Since cable and internet is through the same company I called the internet people. After sitting there and going through all the prompts with the automated voice (which took about 5 minutes that seemed like a half an hour) I found out they had closed 15 minutes ago. I was like CRAP-OLA!! Then it dawned on me, my cable is free with the apartment, I don't have to pay for cable. Can we way DA? So anyway I went over to the TV, did my little troubleshooting skills that I know and the TV came back on. Messing with all that I missed the world news though. Son of a biscuit eater. I decided to just sit in the recliner and do nothing else tonight. I'm dangerous. :o)

So close to retirement but closer to vacation. Can't wait to get away for a little while, even though it's going to be for three days it will be nice to get away. Josh is going to take care of Lamar for us and the cats, even though they don't need taking care of. Not sure who's going to take care of Josh. LOL.

Hoping tomorrow won't be as stressful as today was. It wasn't really stressful, just annoying I guess. Anyway, I will talk to you guys tomorrow and hopefully it will rain again like it did last night and this morning. Really nice, I love the rain. Good night all.

RIP Andy. My mama loved him and every time he'd finish singing she'd look over at me and say, "Wasn't the beautiful?" Yes it was mama, such a sad day for so many. Andy was a wonderful man.

Fall is in the air

Got up early this morning and headed to Columbia MO from Harrisonville, that takes about 2 hours to drive. I worked with 3 other co-workers on revisions to some procedures we have for our forms. We are almost done and it will be nice to be completed. Then I got in my car and drove another 3 hours to Springfield. One thing about it, it was a pretty drive.

The day has been stormy, hot, humid and lots of lightening when it would rain. North of us are suppose to be getting some bad storms but don't think we are. When I drove over the Missouri River, both before I got to Columbia and when I got to Jefferson City, I couldn't believe how low it has gotten. We need some rain so bad, not flooding but the rivers, creeks and ponds need filled up. I was surprised at the tree's and how pretty they are turning. I figured we wouldn't have any color after such a drought and after some of the tree's died. My friend Janelle, her apple tree was loaded with apples and that surprised me too. I didn't figure we'd have any apples or pears.

Today as I was driving I was thinking I need to get my camera out and start taking pictures again. I am not the best photographer but I love to take pictures. I hope Brandon remembered to take his camera over to China with him, I think he did. He will be able to take some beautiful pictures. I heard April was beautiful over there because of the cherry blossoms or something like that. I wish we could go over and see him but don't know if we will be able to afford it. Lots has been going out lately and seems like more and more each time.

Well, I am going to sign off. When I got to the apartment tonight my fire alarm in my bedroom was chirping. I took the battery out and it continued to chirp, even without a ticker. Terry's nephew in Texas told me to unplug it from the wires and walla. It worked, I was so glad because I didn't know how in the heck I was going to be able to sleep with that going on. I will not have a problem tonight though, I am tired and no chirping. Talk to you guys tomorrow.

I can see me doing it.

Got around this morning and went to my friend Janelle's house. She lives south of me, out in the country and she wanted me to see her new kitchen floor. We get together about once in like 2-3 months because her work schedule is so crazy. She works at the police department as a dispatcher here in Harrisonville so she works nights and such. Anyway she made apple butter coffee cake that had just gotten out of the oven and it was warm with a cup of coffee. It was so nice to just sit on her deck in the country, drinking coffee and eating the warm coffee cake. No pressure, just visiting, laughing and reminiscing. It was a good time and cannot wait for my next visit.

This picture is done with the fine art of Quilling. I have a friend that is a quiller and it is so cool to see some of her work. I had never heard of it until she started doing it. She would sell her homemade jams and jellies and quill designs on the jars.

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Arts in Kansas City is holding a free workshop on Friday, Sept. 28 at 5pm to learn quilling. It will be led by the Kansas City Art Institute students with all supplies supplied and people of all ages are welcome. I really wish I could be there to learn but unfortunately, Friday night @ 5pm just isn't going to work out.

I'm watching a PBS documentary called, "The Day Carl Sandburg died" Sounded like it would be good when I saw the previews for it this afternoon. I didn't realize he was such an advocate for women's rights and was such a liberal. Very interesting so far. Going to let you go and listen to it. Plus it is getting late and I will be getting up early to go to Columbia MO for work. Will write more tomorrow night. Good night.

When I retire and sell everything I'm thinking about hooking this baby up to the back of my Ford Focus and live around the country or move it down to the lake and park it somewhere and live out of it.

There's always tomorrow.

Sorry about last night's posting. Guess everyone gets writers block sometimes but seems like lately I've really had it. Not sure why, except have been spending a lot of energy and time on other stuff. Patty is still the same, just getting weaker. She isn't eating hardly anything at all, I made her a pumpkin dump cake last night and sent a little piece to the nursing home with Terry. Pumpkin is her favorite but she wouldn't eat it. Don't know but Terry got a really good picture of her and Lamar one day last week.

That Lamar is a mess. I told her tonight that I wish we could take the cats over there because she loves Tux and Pouncer also. The residents really like Lamar when we bring him over to see Patty. I told Terry we need to get a collar and leash for him though because he went running around and wouldn't listen when we told him to come back.

Going to look for me another camera here pretty soon. There is an Olympus I would like to get but it is quite expensive but we are going on vacation here pretty quick and I would like to have a decent camera. We'll see though because there really isn't anything wrong with mine, just the delay when you shoot the picture.

Going to sign off. I didn't get anything done this weekend I wanted to but may do some tomorrow. I need to get my plants ready to come inside, clean out the rest of the flower bed on the east side of the house and get the iris' dug up and replanted. Also on the west side need to get the tiger lilies dug up. Like I said maybe I can work on some tomorrow.

Good night.

It's a crooked one.

There was a crooked man and he walked a crooked mile,
He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile.
He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse.
And they all lived together in a little crooked house

It's all so tiring

Well, made it home today with no problems. Glad to be home as always. Terry and I ran to Sonic for a hamburger and then ran out and saw Patty for a while. Not much change in her, they did take her and bathe her today, it wore her out though. One of her friends, Philby, arranged a really nice little flower bouquet for her in a coffee cup she had done an arrangement earlier. It was so pretty. Patty said that Philby use to work at a florist shop in Drexel. It brightened up her room and Patty seemed to enjoy it a lot.

It stormed in Branson early this morning, around 4am. Thunder, lightening and small pea size hail. Terry said nothing up here but it woke me up and I couldn't get back to sleep. Oh well, I will sleep like a baby tonight.

You know sometimes I would like to post more than I do but there are to many psycho's that stalk me on here and make life terrible for people I know and love. I just can't post everything that I want to on here. Then there are the ones that are "shit stirrers". Of course the psycho is that too. Oh well, there are some things I just need to keep to myself because those that are jealous will do what they can to ruin it for me and others that are associated with me.

Not much happening tonight but when we were leaving the nursing home Terry and I commented on what a beautiful evening it was. Terry mentioned how blue the skies have been in the evening. Someone had mentioned that on Facebook and I have to admit, I don't get out much in the evenings. I sit in the apartment and don't go anywhere after I get off. Bad me. I should get out and get things done, oh well.

Weekend is going to be fairly busy. Josh needs to get his things out of his truck. When he hit the cow we finally got the truck over to the body shop and they are going to total it out. Terry told him he needs to get all his stuff he wants. Then we will run out to the nursing home, we need to go to the store and also need to get the oil changed in Brandon's car. Busy, busy.

Well, going to get off here. I'm tired as I said earlier and heading to bed. Good night.

Thursday, September 20, 2012

It's a little better.

Have I told you guys how much I love fall? Of course I like to call it by it's other name though. That serves it so much better...Autumn. I know someone whose name is Autumn, Autumn Grimm. She works for Dept of Health as an Epi Specialist and I always thought, what a cool name. She's pretty cool too.

I am back in Branson for a couple of days, like I wanted to whine about yesterday but of course I was going to refrain from whining last night, even though I wanted to. Of course made for a short news night there. I woke up this morning, looked out the window and there was a haze over the tree tops. I am on the 4th floor and the view is absolutely gorgeous. The hotel is right next to the Payne Stewart Golf Club which is a very pretty area. It's about a mile from the shopping area on Branson Hills Parkway. I thought I'd never find it last night and thought it was way out in the north forty, but it really isn't. Rooms are nice, breakfast was okay. Hotel breakfasts have a little to be desired. Same ole, same ole, no matter where you go. Cereal, Waffles, eggs, oatmeal, bagels, yogurt, juice, coffee. What more do you need and it's included so there ya go. Got one more night here in the hotel and then head home. Can't wait.

Talked to Terry last night, Patty had a bad day yesterday. I so hate hearing that. She just keeps losing weight because she doesn't feel like eating. She said the chemo makes her feel better but a couple days later is the worse for her. Please keep remembering Terry, Patty, Sheila and Patty's daughter Monica in your prayers. Monica is having a hard time dealing with this and is dealing with feelings of rejection and hate. She really needs our prayers now. She is Patty's only child and no matter what, that's her mama. I remember the feelings I had when my mom passed away and I was in my 40's, Monica is in her 30's with three small children alone.

You know, one time I was watching this TV show, I believe it was NYPD Blues. I loved Jimmie Smits on there, had one of those actor crushes and all. Anyway someone was dying on the show, I think it might have been him but I can't remember. The priest was standing there talking to the ones that were around the person dying and he goes, "There's a lot worse things in life than death." That is so true and I have used that very statement many a time. One thing about it, we all know exactly where Patty is going and God loves her so. It is time for her to start her journey home, but there is something that needs to be completed here on earth before it is time for her to go home. Not sure what it is and of course He never gives me His game plan. Even though if He would I am sure I could make everything better. LOL. My prayers are that "His will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." I can't wait to get home in Harrisonville this weekend and go out and see her. We bring Lamar and her eyes light up so. Lamar gets excited too, everyone loves everyone so!

First day of conference was really good. If nothing else the networking skills you receive is worth more than anything else. No matter if you work as a cook at a Head Start, a waitress at a restaurant, school cafeteria, a secretary or a corporate lawyer, it is all about the networking. That is the only way you are going to make it in the world, or to move on up if that is the plan in your career. The more people you know the better off you are going to be. Educate yourself with what is out there in your job, no matter what it is. Believe me if you don't believe anything else I have to say.

Went out to eat after the conference with someone that works in our Bureau, but we don't work together that much so this gave us both an opportunity to get to know each other. She is such an awesome lady and does some awesome work within the Faith Community, African American women and Aging population. She educated me on some areas that I never even thought about. I look forward to getting to know her better , really enjoyed supper with her. We ate at the Landing here in Branson at the the Black Oak Grill. The food was fabulous and so was the atmosphere. Had a couple of sip and flip Margaritas. If you have never experienced them and are in Branson, check it out. The waiter was really good too, very attentive. Will go back, it's a fo shore!

Well, this is about it. Go home tomorrow. Can't wait because I miss my husband and my kitties and my puppy and my son. Love my family, just wish Brandon was back but he will be back before we know it. Talk to you later everyone and remember....love ya!

Dang

Last night when I was getting ready to get off work my supervisor called me and asked what I had on my calendar the next two days and I said really not much. Just same paper work and work as usual. She wanted me to go to Branson and work a conference helping another one of our Bureau people with a information booth. It is always interesting to say the least. I helped last year too. I am staying down here and will go back Friday afternoon when the conference is over. It is going into Saturday also but I am not needed on that day, which I am glad.

I am going to refrain from writing anything sad, depressing or just down right a bummer to read. There is enough uncertainty and confusion in this world today, I don't need to dwell on it here. Of course now I can't think of anything to write about. Oh well, it is what it is.

Of course I probably didn't have anything to write about anyway. Nothing really happened at work. Just work. Guess I'll get off here. Talk to you guys later.

Tuesday, September 18, 2012

Not sure why, it's just the way it is.

I'm needing a week of doing nothing. No noise, no thinking, no decisions, just sit and write, draw, read, needle craft, hike, maybe even a bike ride. If I want music then plug in some Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, James Taylor, Carole King or any other artist that I feel like listening to for the moment. Maybe plug in a chick flick or two if needed. I'm thinking I need some me time. I cherish my me time. Maybe I just need to make a corner for me in my crazy life. Maybe I just need to not try to do so much in my private world and let my inner me be released.

What has caused these thoughts to come across my head, you ask. I'm not sure. Lots of things go on inside this world of mine and sometimes it is hard to get it out in actual words but once I sit down and write, my inner world comes out. I need to feed this part of me and probably should do it soon. Lots of different things tugging around in there. Am I crazy I ask myself sometimes, nah. I'm just me.

I got to Springfield last night around 9pm, worked today and tomorrow and then found out I have to work another conference, this one in Branson Thursday and Friday. Not sure about what all it consists of but it will be okay. I will stand there, look pretty and talk the talk to anyone that asks me anything about STD's or HIV. I'll let you know how it all goes when I get back, will probably write Thursday and Friday nights

And this is the reason!!!

And that is why nothing was posted last night. I went down to my home town and had a blast. This is the second year they had "Music on Main Street" and it was very, very good. Saw lots and lots of people I knew including this line up. Left to right, the ones I was with are Linda Lysinger, George Lysinger, Me, My friend Patsey came too, Mike Jenkins and Paula Foster. John Foster was taking the picture and he missed Kay who had already left when we were taking this picture, and who knows where Bob Bray was wandering around at. Stanley Goans would come and go too, Bob at least had a chair and would stick around just get up and stroll around some. I should have gotten my camera out of the car but was to lazy, plus that is how I roll.

Fixed fried chicken strips, mashed potatoes and gravy, frozen corn fixed with butter (when this is done it tastes just like fresh corn to me) and biscuits for lunch today. Oh, and fresh brewed tea. It was very good. Josh went to the couch and went into a small coma afterwards. Terry finished watching the Royals and Chiefs and then we took Lamar out to see his sister Patty at the nursing home. Wednesday when she got to the nursing home she weighed 115, Friday when I was there she told me she was at 111, today she is down to 108. She's lost 7 pounds in 4 days, that is worry some. Tomorrow she goes and gets another chemo treatment and I hope she does as well as she did with the one Tuesday. Terry said yesterday she had a yellow tint to her skin but today she looked better. She always enjoys seeing Lamar and he sits right next to her kissing on her and all.

When we got home Terry and Lamar went into a small coma. I could have took a nap before I left but right now seem to be okay.

We talked to Brandon yesterday morning on Skype. Josh even got in on the conversation. He is doing great and seems to really like it. His apartment is very small, as we were talking he took the computer around and showed it to us. He already knows a few Chinese words and said he plans to learn the language while he's over there. MSU offers the classes over there and he can take them for free. That will make him so marketable over here in the States, especially by learning their language. We are so proud of him!!!

Well, I am going to sign off. Think I will go out and start preparing my plants to bring them in. Not sure if I am going to take them to Springfield with me or not. We'll see, since I am downsizing to a smaller apartment and all and will be moving in November. May still bring them though.

Will talk to everyone later and take care. Remember, love one another.

The question is Why???

It's amazing what a good nights rest will do for a body! Today was an exceptionally good day, sometimes I wonder if I'm a manic depressed person. Just teasing, I know I'm not just some days are better than others, that is life in a nutshell. I was very productive at work and that is always a good thing. When I got home in Harrisonville Terry and I ran out to see Patty. She fell yesterday, tried to go to the bathroom by herself and couldn't do it. The nurses told her to call them and not to try it by herself. She is so weak and tired. She was telling us that when she first got sick in June she weighed 160 pounds, she is down to 111 as of today. I told her to quit bragging. LOL. She was in very good spirits today and was so happy to see us. She has another dose of chemo Monday, initially they told her it would be every three weeks but it will have been a week since her last one. Her oncology doctor comes to the Harrisonville hospital once a week and she is going to be able to take her chemo treatments at the hospital here in town. I am so glad because I don't think she would have been able to make the trip to Kansas City and back for the treatment. That's about a 30-45 minute ride.

While we were there a friend from her church came by to see her. She was a lovely lady, her name was Wanda. It made Patty happy to see her, she was so surprised. Patty is sweetie and has a heart of gold. If you would like to send her a card she is at Golden Years Nursing home here in Harrisonville MO in Room 106. Her name is Pat Baldwin. If you're in town drop by and see her, tell her you are a friend of Terry and Glenda's. Her room is so drab, I plan to fix it up a little with things for her.

Will have some things to write about tomorrow I am sure. I am going to Lowry City to the annual Music on Main Street. It will be fun and will also be good. My friend Patsey is going with me, hope she doesn't get to bored. I doubt she will, there will be music and we both come from the era of loving music. I was talking to a cousin, Kay, and telling her that I would be there and Patsey would be with me. I said she isn't to bad, she was born in 56 and graduated in 74. Right there everything is going right for her. LOL. Patsey has been a friend of mine for quite sometime.

Well, I'm going to sign off. Not much to write about. Loving this fall like weather we've been having. Love, love, love fall in the Midwest.

Sometimes it's just hard to explain!!!

Bad day. Well not bad, just not good. Probably going to be a short one tonight because I am just not feeling it much tonight. Of course I talked to this gal today that gave me 20 sex partners in the last year and a half, so I guess I don't have it that bad.

I went to the library again today and got a couple of CDs to watch tonight and I can't figure out how to use the DVR. Crap, I need Josh or Brandon more than I thought. I should have had them show me how to use it but didn't. My fault. The DVD's looked pretty good. They both are from public TV down here, one is called Ozark Mountain Daredevils and the other one is Thomas Hart Benton. I thought I'd like them because I like watching stuff like that. Oh well, I'll take them home this weekend and then watch them.

Noticed the flags are still half mast and realize now that the reason they were the other day wasn't because of 9/11 but for those killed at the American Embassy in Libya. Man, I wish all this would stop but know it won't.

In two weeks it will be 3 years and 11 months that I can retire. Not that I am counting.

1:30 this morning I received a text message, yes you guessed it. Mr Brandon again. 1:30am our time is 1:30pm the next day his time. The only reason why he is contacting me instead of his dad is because I have an Apple IPhone and he has an Apple IPad. He explained to me that he would be able to contact me through that but can't contact anyone that has a regular phone. Anyway, glad we have a way to keep in touch with him. Except wish it wasn't 1:30am. LOL

Heading outta here. I'm tired because it took me forever to fall back to sleep last night.

This song has so many good memories. A friend of mine and I roomed together and did we have fun. Only her and I can actually appreciate those days together the best when we talk about them. One morning I had to run to Grandview to the Perkins to pick her up from a cab. A cabbie drove up, not hers, and had this particular song blaring from his radio. Singing at the top of his lungs, I have always loved these two songs anyway and it was such a happy moment to see him. Hard to explain but this song has held a special place in my memory bank!!! Enjoy.

Look out!!! It's almost here!!!

Ran over to the library today at lunch because I had a book on hold and it was in. While I was there I skimmed over their books, seeing if there was another one I wanted. This library is a very small library in Springfield on the square but I really like it. I order books from the other library's and all I have to do is walk across the street and pick it up. Anyway, while I was skimming through the books I saw Gregg Allman's book, "My Cross to Bear". I have been meaning to read it but forgot about it once I heard about it, that is the way I roll. So, I checked it out and tonight when I got home I opened it up and started reading, all I can say is wow. Good book. Sometimes it takes me a while to get into a book but this one is good. Of course I like these books. I have read several, Lauren Bacall's, George Burns, to name the only one's I can think of off the top of my head. Think I am going to be able to get three books in this year even though I got a late start reading. I finished "Winter's Bone" a couple weeks ago and now have picked this one up.

Talked to Terry tonight. I knew his sister Patty was coming to the nursing home today and wanted to find out how everything went. Terry sounded really good, he said Patty was in really good spirits. Her friends from the housing in Drexel were coming up to see her tonight. Terry had ran and picked her up a nightgown and some anklets. He said she needed a robe. He couldn't find any but I know they have them somewhere. I told him there was a clothing store in Harrisonville called Cato's and they probably had one. He thought I said Potatoes. LOL. We had a good laugh over that. I told him when I get home Friday we will go and look for her one. The doctor's told her today that the cancer is stage 4. Lots and lots of prayers everyone, please.

Terry said the nurses at Research had pitched in and bought Patty a really nice outfit to wear when she left the hospital. He said she looked so nice. When Patty first went into the hospital a nurse had asked Patty if there was anything she wanted and she said some root beer. The nurse went out and bought Patty a six pack of A & W that night for her and today had another six pack for her to take to the nursing home. When she got to the nursing home the nurses asked her if there was anything she was hungry for. She said yes, polish sausage and cottage cheese. Terry said when he left her she was eating polish sausage and cottage cheese with a class of root beer. LOL. There are so many nice people in the world today and those that are in service career's are definitely in it because they love it. I want to say a prayer for these people that have touched her in such a way today.

Received another text from Brandon yesterday. He needed me to let his dad know that he had sent him a message and that he was wiring some money to put in his account. He started the text out with "Nihao". I asked him if that meant hello and he said yes. I sent him one today with Nihao also but he didn't respond. I am sure he is getting ready for his classes that start on Monday. Can't wait to hear about them. He is going to send us his address and I already have a goodie box packed up for him with the items he wanted us to ship to him.

The day went really well. Got a lot of paper work done and the arrogant egotistical man from yesterday, yeah he doesn't have syphilis. It came back negative. The nurse at the county health department said she'd tell him, good. I didn't want to talk to him again. I want to talk to people that do not think they are all that and then some!!!

Well, I am going to get off here and read some more on my book. I also got a book about WordPress. I have got to get off my duff and do more on this blog then what I have done. I am getting so bored with it. If nothing else, I believe I have improved on my writing skills. I need to find something to write about that is theme based but I have close to 40 followers now and all I'm talking about is me and whatever comes to mind. There ya go, you guys are easily entertained. I will talk to you more tomorrow night.

Fall is ten days away!

With that said...

It's All In A Day's Quarter!!!

I drove two hours today to get to the county health department I needed to go to, stayed there for two hours and then drove home for two hours. I didn't get home until around 7 and all day long I was like, "Why are the flags at half mast?" I racked my brain trying to remember if someone of importance passed away and couldn't think of anything. Then I pulled into my parking spot here at the apartments and bam. It struck me why they were half mast. Duh, I'm a little slow here but finally catch up to speed. Of course it took me like 12 hours to figure it out.

We have a new baby girl in our midst. Emma Grace Isermann. She was born today, 09/11/2012, weighing in at 6 pounds and 9 ounces. If I don't say so myself, she is absolutely beautiful. I haven't talked to Grandpa Terry yet but saw her on Facebook tonight on her Uncle Josh Huey's page. We are going out to see them and cannot wait to kiss those chubby little cheeks. I know her daddy Jeremy and mama Barbel are just beside themselves right now. I will post more when I have more to post but here is a picture of the beautiful little girl.

At times life seems like there is no sense to it at all and then something like this happens and it all makes sense. Love babies , it's the coolest way God could have thought of to start humans

Not to much happened today except for craziness. Drove two hours to listen to a middle aged man tell me how great he is for two hours and drove another two hours home. Total waste of my time but oh well. It all pays the same.

Going to sign off but before I do I want you to know...

...and don't you forget that!!!

It's hit me AGAIN!!!

I'm wanting to scream. I have another really bad allergy day. Sneezing, headache, sinus ache to where the top roll of my teeth hurt, puffy and watery eyes. Bought some Zyrtec and that really didn't work that well. Guess I will try Allegra and make a doctor's appointment. See if she'll give me prescription to take care of it.

Had pretty good day. We are cleaning Patty's apartment out because she won't be coming back to it. It is tough packing stuff and all knowing she won't be back there. She started her chemo today but haven't talked to her. Terry and his sister Sheila will meet her at the nursing home Wednesday. I will call her tomorrow and see how she is doing. Bless her heart, she is so sick and so sick and tired of being sick.

Came down here to the apartment and my really, really good friend that I work with is in Springfield working at my office right now. She is working on a grant, I met her for supper and we visited and then I brought her over here to see the apartment. I love Cheryl to death, she is such good people and so funny. We did the same job together for 10 years and she got a hefty promotion this summer. I am so proud of her.

I can't think of much more to write. I am getting off here. I hope to write more tomorrow. It's late and I am real tired. Later gator.

All I want to know is....

Why does each religion think they are the best religion? No matter what church I have attended, they all believe they are the best. According to some estimates, there are roughly 4,200 religions in the world, how can each one of them be the best. In my beliefs and what I have interpreted from the studies I have done, Christianity is the best. That's just the way I believe and always will. The life and times of Jesus and adhere to The Ten Commandments.

Enjoyed church this morning. They are trying to get some good stuff going. Anybody that wants to is more than welcome to come and join me. Josh and Terry don't go and whenever I'd ask Brandon he'd say, "Yeah, no." LOL.

Speaking of Mr. Brandon. He texted me this morning. Got to China with no problems but doesn't have internet yet. Said he should get that this week. He was at an American bar when he texted me hanging out with some people he had met. That's the Brandon I know and love. He had asked his brother Jeremy to let everyone know but we hadn't gotten anything from him yet. After we talked to Brandon we called Jeremy. Yeah, he hadn't gotten around to sending anything out yet. LOL. We have another baby coming into our family this week though. Jeremy and his wife are expecting their first, a little girl. Emma. Can't wait.

This weather has got to be the best. I absolutely love the cool, no humidity time of year. This means fall is just around the corner. Yee fricking haw!!! Love autumn.

We went up to see Terry's sister Patty tonight. She is still in the hospital but they are starting chemo tomorrow. They found more masses in the other lung. I bet she doesn't weigh over 100 pounds soaking wet. Wednesday she is moving to the nursing home here in Harrisonville. Golden Years. Keep remembering her and the rest of the family in your prayers.

I'm outta here. Will talk to everyone tomorrow.

Stress Less

I'm always surprised at the people that come up to me and say, "I read your blogs and really enjoy them." I'm thinking to myself, "Wow, maybe I should try a little harder on them." I don't do anything great and I am a little bored with them at times. I checked the book out at the library "WordPress for Dummies" and need to check it back in. I haven't done anything with it except I did download WordPress. I think it will make all this layout and design better. I don't know. Not sure why I don't just get it done but it seems like I get home at night and the only thing I want to do is write in here and mess on Facebook. I need to stop being so lazy. LOL

Terry and I went to Grandview this afternoon. They were having their 9th Annual festival, "Music on Main". At 3:30 a band called Liverpool, a tribute to the Beatles, were playing. Terry and I love our music and Terry loves the Beatles!!! Anyway, once we found out about it we went that direction and I am so glad we did. It was a nice day today, in the 70's, no humidity and a nice breeze blowing, very relaxing. The band was good, we have seen several tribute bands, but this one wasn't the best just not bad. We enjoyed watching the crowd too, sometimes that can be the most entertainment around. It amazed me the diverse age and group of people there. There was a grandma that was probably in her 70's, maybe early 80's, walker and all, tapping her foot and singing along with the lyrics. There was this young couple, probably in their teen years that looked like hippies from our era. Cuter than cute and they were dancing to the songs singing the lyrics to each other not missing a word. My favorite was this little boy, he had to be around 4. He was with his grandpa, sitting on his lap. All of a sudden he jumps off grandpa's lap and whips out his air guitar. Standing as still as still can be, strumming on that guitar banging his head to the beat, not missing a beat. He was so serious and so dang cute. Grandpa was pretty proud of him too.

Liverpool was done and we were going to stay but sitting in the sun on the asphalt was hot. We decided to go ahead and leave, but of course not until I get my festival drug of choice. Kettle Korn. I love that stuff. As we were leaving there were a couple of sky divers leaving a smoke trail in the sky above the event. It was pretty cool too. If we could of made it I would of liked to stay and listen to the Eagles tribute band "7 Bridges Road", I didn't want to stick around though. Next year we will come better prepared. Plus we were both ready to get back to the truck where we could cool off.

Terry's sister, Patty is leaving the hospital Monday and will be placed in Golden Years. They have given her 6 months but like mom says, "That's one man's opinion." They have called Hospice in and we will go see her too. I told Terry I would spend time with her on the weekends. They have found cancer on her other lung now. If you are just now reading this we found out she has liver and lung cancer. She has been very sick and they couldn't figure out what was going on. She is a breast cancer survivor from a few years ago. Remember Terry, his sister Sheila and Patty in your prayers. It's tough. Patty also has a daughter Monica. Please remember her too.

Blaine's funeral was today. I was going to go with Josh but his buddy was coming by to pick him up so I decided not to go. The magnitude of people last night told me there was way to many people there. I will sit down and send a card to Molly, his grandma, and Diane, his mama, next week or so. I am sure they are getting so many cards right now and people stopping by. So sad but like I posted on Facebook today,

"Sometimes it's hard to keep believing
In what you can't see
That everything happens for a reason
Even the worst life brings
If you're reaching for an answer
And you don't know what to pray
Just open up the pages
Let His word be your strength"

Blaine is fine. We all know exactly where he is tonight and the rest of our lives, it's us that are hurting. We are the one's sad, we are going to miss him but we have to keep doing what he did.

Tomorrow is church. I really enjoy going and I am not sure if it is because it is a new chapter in my life and I am meeting new people or that I can walk to the services. I plan to start their Sunday study next Sunday. Pastor Scott is starting a 4 week "Discipleship Pathway." Then after that there will be a church-wide study,"Treasure of the Transformed Life". It is material that will take a deeper study into the UM understanding of the importance of prayer with God, worship, gifts and serving our God, and telling the story of Jesus. It should be good. Plus, like I said, all I have to do is walk across the yard to church. That's nice too. I can be lazy. :o)

Well, my attitude is better tonight. I slept like a baby last night and woke up so rested. It was nice. I told Terry I probably snored like a lumberjack but he denied it. Either it wasn't as bad as other nights or he is just being nice. I expect he's just being nice. LOL.

Going to get off here. Love you guys and thank you for the thoughts and concerns of my "frump". Knowing some of you the way I do you probably lifted me up in prayer but that's all good. That's what it's about. Anyway, will write more tomorrow and love you all.

Better.

As I was driving back to Springfield from Rolla today I had a lot of time to think about the last week or so. One of the hardest things for me to do is let things go that I have no control over. I have been working on this and boom. A good friend, Charlene Burton, posted this on her Facebook wall:

"I Am Your Best Friend, as well as your King. Walk hand in hand with Me through your life. Together we will face whatever each day brings: pleasure, hardships, adventures, disappointments. Nothing is wasted when it is shared with me. I can bring beauty out of the ashes of lost dreams. I can glean Joy out of sorrow, Peace out of adversity. Only a Friend who is also a King of kings could accomplish t his divine alchemy. There is no other like Me! The friendship I offer you is practical and down-to-earth, yet it is saturated with heavenly Glory. Living in My Presence means living in two realms simultaneously: the visible world and the unseen, eternal reality. I have equipped you to stay conscious of Me while walking along dusty, earthbound paths........From my Devotional Jesus Calling........God Bless you all

That hit so close to home and was actually what I needed to hear. Then this morning another friend, Kelly Potter, posted: "Everyday in every way I grow stronger and glow brighter with the knowing and the showing of the magnificence that I Am. (By the way, you are too :) So don't let anyone, including your silly little mind, convince you otherwise!!!)"

Those postings made me feel better and with that I had a better day. Coming back to Springfield from Rolla I was like, all is good. I will make it. Of course after you wake up the next day it is always a little better. No matter what it is.

Going to end this one early. Can't think of much to write plus have a really bad headache. Think it might be my allergies but not sure. I will write more tomorrow, I am sure.

Who knows

This has been one of the worse two weeks I can remember for a long time. I know God will help me through it and also help Terry, but geeze Louise. Not only did Josh's friend die but one of Terry's did too. Also with Brandon leaving us for a year to go to China, even though this is a wonderful opportunity for him and he is adventurous and lived in Italy for about 8 months, we are still going to miss him and worry about him because that is just what parents do. We have also been dealing with Terry's sister. She has been sick for quite some time now off and on and cannot figure out what the problem is, today we found out. She has liver and lung cancer. My heart breaks for her, Terry and his other sister.

Coming home today I ran into a heck of a storm between Jefferson City and Eldon but by the time I got to the Lake of the Ozarks it was over. I just love when you are driving along in the Ozarks and there are steam clouds hovering over the tree tops in the valleys or hills. It's hard to explain but it is so cool looking. A little bit like an excerpt out of The Shepherd of the Hills book. I can remember the same thing growing up in the country where I grew up as a little girl. We lived right next to timber and I can remember seeing fog hovering around the trees in small clouds. I absolutely love the country. I am going to have to get back into hiking trails and such so I can get back into it. Fall and Spring are the best times because it isn't as hot. May have to try and do that but of course you know how it goes, my talk is bigger than my follow through is!!! :o)

Talked to my Josh today on the phone. Love that kid to death but wish things would turn around for him again. After he hit that cow things have been a little tough. Still don't have the accident report from the sheriff's department but today he said that the gal was going to send an e-mail to the officer in charge and see if she can't get it for him pretty quick. We'll see.

Getting off here. Will talk to you guys tomorrow.

Ya Just gotta do it!

Click on:Blaine's killer,to see the picture of the men that killed Blaine Whitworth.

They found the murderer that gunned Blaine down in his driveway this morning. Lot's of rumors are going around of why that young man paid another man, a bouncer at one of Blaine's bars, to murder him in cold blood in his driveway. Some say the young Middle Eastern man wanted to buy the bars from Blaine and Blaine didn't want to sell them. That's sick if that is true. What the hell is wrong with people??? One article I read said these two men were roommates. All I can say is what the hell???

Next two days are going to be busy days for me. Also sad days. Lots has happened this last week or so and it seems like it's been a lifetime. Lot's of life changing events. All I can say is I wish it was a year from now but it isn't, and I don't want to wish my life away.

I am leaving this blog as a short one. I will write more tomorrow but this is going to be it.

We Keep On Waiting.

You know we are a spoiled rotten breed of human beings. We like to sit around and whine, complain, say how bad we have it and we deserve more. Instead why don't we sit and take a look at the world in general and say, "What can we do to make someone else's life better?" Whether it is give a young child a nice cold Gatorade at football practice that the parent has dropped off with nothing to drink at all and will pick them up after the practice. Or if you see someone struggling to pay a grocery bill in front of you and only needs a small amount to finish the transaction, pay for it. Always thank a soldier or a Vet, no matter the age. Smile at children and say hello to people that you make eye contact with.

I had the privilege of knowing a young man that helped not one, but three homeless men get their GED, a job, a place to stay and get cleaned up and back on their feet. A senseless crime took that young man's life this weekend but look at the many lives he changed in the short time he was here. Why don't we do that too? I know another friend of mine that said when a homeless person asked him for a cigarette he went into the store, bought the man a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. Why don't we do more of that? Why are we so self centered that we think it's all about us. Why worry about things we have absolutely no control over and worry about things we can make a difference about?

Like my mom told my son one time before she passed away. She told him to follow the Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule and he will be fine in life. That is true, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I have lots of things pulling at my heartstrings right now and am not sure what it is. Time will tell and that will be another story in another blog, I am sure.

As I end tonight's blog I challenge each and everyone of you to do at least one thing within your day that makes a change in someone else's life. Believe me when I say it will make a difference in your life like you couldn't imagine!!!

Hope it gets better.

I have been sitting here this evening thinking about the events that happened this weekend and was wondering. When a person shoots and kills someone else do they feel remorseful? Or do they just go on with their life as if they had just killed a mouse in a mousetrap? Do they just go and grab something to eat or drink afterwards like it was just a normal Saturday evening? Do they go home to their families like nothing out of the ordinary has happened? Or are they constantly looking over their shoulders, hoping that they don't get caught? Do they have a plan on how they are going to get away if the authorities come knocking on their door? Or do they go on the run, trying to get as far away from the act that they can? Do they worry that someone may have seen them, since the act happened at 9:30pm on a Saturday night in a nice neighborhood?

I have been in a strange mood all day today. I know some of it is because of this mindless act that took a kind, good, young human life. Some of it is because I hate seeing my son hurt and others from our community that grew up with Blaine. Some of it is because Brandon is leaving in 2 days and we won't see him for a year. I am so thankful that he isn't going to a war torn, third world country. He is going somewhere that they are going to meet him and welcome him into the place he is going. It still is going to be tough not seeing him for a year though. I hate seeing my husband worry about Brandon leaving. And I wonder why I am in a weird mood.

The last two nights I have had some really bizarre dreams and am hoping tonight is a dream free night. I wonder what makes us dream and what the interpretation is of the ones I had. I had a co-worker that would interpret my dreams and I loved it. It was very entertaining. That might be a fun class to take sometime. Someone will probably tell me that dream interpretation is something like cult stuff or something. Whatever.

Good Clint Eastwood movie coming up "Trouble with the Curve". May have to see that one but not until after I see the Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones movie. Really wish Clint hadn't talked to that empty chair at the Republican Convention. Guess it was pretty bad and made him sound like a blubbering idiot. Oh well.

Well, I'm getting off here. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day. Always is.

Love One Another

Well, we've made it back to the apartment. We had a nice time yesterday even though it rained most of the time. We went to Danna's and ate BBQ which was very good. Then we went to the hotel and walked down to the Landing. Messed down there and then went to a show that evening. SIX which is a very good show if you have a chance to go see it. 6 brothers that make music, instrument sounds and all with their mouths. Got to the hotel late and the boys walked down to the Landing to Ernie Biggs, which is a Piano Bar.

Then we woke up this morning to devastating news. One of Josh's life long friends was shot and killed at his house. Three times in the chest is what we heard. 25 years old, we don't know for sure why or anything about except that it is a loss. Blaine was a good, good young man. It just made me sick at my heart. Not only for Blaine's family whom I know very well but for everyone else this young man touched through his short life on this earth. Blaine owned two bars in the Warrensburg area, one he named after his grandma Molly. He had worked a year or so on the off shore drilling rigs in the gulf and made quite a bit of money. That was when he came back and opened up these bars. Josh has been telling me stories about Blaine and told me one time there was a homeless man in the back of the bar and Blaine brought him into the bar, fed him, gave him a job and helped him back on his feet. That is the Blaine Whitworth I knew. Such a good, good human being. I can't think of anything else except this. We don't know why things happen the way they do but this happened within a split second and in that second his family will never be the same again.

I am going to leave off here for right now. I cannot express how important it is to tell someone close to you that you love them. It may be the last time you see them. Keep those that are close to you close and make amends with your enemies. Life is to short to hate.

Let the Games Begin

Didn't get anything posted last night, sorry. Everybody is here at the apartment and we went out to eat and then to the movies. Let four people try to decide what they want to watch at the movies and me being the deciding vote. Brandon wanted to watch "Bourne Legacy", Josh and Terry wanted to watch "Lawless" and of course give me a good chick flick, I wanted to watch "Hope Springs". What do you think we watched? "Bourne Legacy". Had to do Brandon's show because this weekend is all about him since he is leaving in less than a week. I have to admit it was excellent. I wasn't sure since Matt Damon wasn't going to be in it and there was a new director but it was really, really good. I think I had only seen one of the others and Terry said he hadn't seen any of them so my quest is to watch all the other three with Terry. Josh and Brandon had seen all of them, imagine that.

Any hoots, it was late when we got home and I was tired and couldn't think about journaling in here. Tonight I won't be writing either but will update tomorrow evening probably. I'm not even planning on taking my computer with me today. Hopefully lots of pictures though and a good time. We are still getting the remnants of Issac but not as much as yesterday. We need it so bad that I'm not even going to complain. I think out around Rolla area they got close to 5 inches. Not sure how much we've gotten but probably around 3. I heard on the radio that the lakes are usually at 80% this time of year and they are at 60% with this drought we've been having. They reported with these rains that Issac has produced that it will probably bring the lakes up 5%. Good, it is a small blessing but we'll take whatever blessing we can at this point.

Well, not to much to talk about. Work was work, as usual. Like I said, I will post pictures hopefully of this weekend. Can't think of anywhere I'd rather be or anything I'd rather do then this. Talk to you later guys.

The boys were singing this last night, with Terry harmonizing.
