Today has been a really tough day, have been thinking about Patty and how it was lonely yesterday without her. It just wasn't right. It will be okay, just not right.
Talked to Brandon tonight. It is tomorrow in China and his birthday, 11/24. He is 30 years old and has made such fabulous improvements in his life. He said he has had two "real" Thanksgiving meals over there. One with the faculty and another one with friends, he said they had both duck and turkey. He is doing really good. Tells us that he will probably sign on for another year, wanting to learn the language better so his job over here will be bilingual. Said when he comes back he is only going to spend a week in Missouri and 4 weeks in Colorado. Not sure if he is teasing or not, because one of his best friends lives in Colorado and the drama he will probably go through here in MO really isn't worth it. Guess we could go out and spend time with him in Colorado. :o) I know his brother Jeremy and sister in law Barbel would really like to see him.
A friend of mine posted on her Facebook page something that touches so close to my heart. "remember...the last thing you say to someone, might be the last thing you say to someone". Rather you have lost someone in death or you have lost someone because of your selfish, inconsiderate attitude towards the life they have chosen, or you are so jealous that you cannot see beyond yourself. Just remember, no one can take away anything that was already yours.
Well, going to sign off of here tonight. Terry called Jeremy to wish them a Happy Thanksgiving. I had emailed them and Barbel had written me back but they weren't around when we called this time. Terry left a message for them.
